2.3.1 晋升机制
在投行的职业发展道路首先,进入投资银行的途径通常有两种:途径之一,认识圈子中的人,有他人推荐或者介绍;途径之二,校园招聘。
从级别上来讲,从低到高大致有这些层次:
Analyst(分析员,一般国外名校本科毕业、或者国内名校本科研究生毕业)
Associate(经理,从分析员升任或从国外名校 MBA 招聘)
VP(副总裁,从经理升任)
Director(董事,从 VP 升任)
Managing Director(董事总经理,从 Director 升任)。
上述称谓不同的银行有所不同,但本质相通。一般来说,每一级别之间大致相差三年的工作经验,按资升级。
越往上,人才在不同银行之间的流动情况越普遍。从功能上来讲,投资银行的人大致分为做客户关系管理的和做业务实施的。前者一般相对应的级别比较高,通常 VP 和以上为主;后者虽然各级别的人都会做,但是主要工作集中在 Analyst 到 VP 这几个级别。
进入投资银行业后,通常情况下,你应负责把你接受的每一个项目及时做好,无论是写报告、绘制电子表格、谈生意、做研发还是制定工作计划。然后,一旦有机会接触客户并参与创造利润,如果你能为公司谈成生意,回报将相当丰厚。如果你已经成为高管(通常为董事,董事总经理及更高层管理人员),你必须要承担更多的风险。
在这种职位上不能很好地胜任工作的人,就要被迫离职。简单而言,如果想做到 Director 以上或者做客户关系管理,即拉业务为主,要么你从底层爬上来,积聚了良好的专业素质、客户服务经验以及广阔的人脉,要么是因为家庭的背景,或者行业的长期经验和人脉。其它可能性不大。
