英国签证又出台新政策了，即将前往腐国的小伙伴们赶紧看过来呀，看过来……
The UK Government is going to change the way that it issues permission for people to come to the UK from abroad for more than six months. To start with (probably atthe end of February 2015) the new system will apply only to people applying from Pakistan. Soon after that it will be extended to a second group of countries, with more countries being added on 29 May 2015, and all the remaining countries in the world on 31 July 2015.
英国政府计划对来英六个月以上的国际人士实行新的签证政策。首先对其实行该政策的国家是巴基斯坦(很可能是2015年2月底)，随后，2015年5月29日之前会在第二批国家实行该政策，2015年7月31日前完成其他国家的签证整改。
The current system is that when students apply in their home country for permission to come to the UK, they receive an “entry clearance” sticker in their passport, which usually gives them permission to enter the UK and then stay in the UK for the length of their course (plus a short time afterwards). The new system will be more complicated. When a student makes their immigration application abroad, they will have to say what town they are going to stay in when they first arrive in the UK. They will be given a short-term entry clearance in their passport that gives them 30 days in which to travel to the UK and then go to a Post Office near the town identified, to collect a “Biometric Immigration Document” (BID) which shows their permission to be in the UK for the rest of their course (plus a short amount of time afterwards).
目前的政策是，当学生在自己国家申请英国签证时，护照里会贴上一张“entry clearance”，贴着这个才能进入英国，然后你可以在英国待到课程结束(结束后可以多待一小段时间)。新政策更加繁琐，当国际生在境外申请移民签证时，他们要先声明自己到达英国之后会住在哪儿，然后拿到一个短期entry clearance，到了英国，30天内必须去指定的邮局，领取“Biometric Immigration Document”(生物指纹卡)，上面会显示你可以在英国学习多长时间(结束后仍然可以多待一小段时间)。
Most students will want to collect their BIDs very soon after arriving, as they are likely to be needed for many purposes.
大多数学生在到达英国之后，都想要尽快拿到其生物指纹卡，因为用到这张卡的地方会很多。
The first wave of countries to be affected after Pakistan: Armenia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany,Gibraltar, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Libya, Maldives, Malta,Nepal, Netherlands, North Korea, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain,Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, and Vietnam.
在巴基斯坦实行该政策后，受影响的国家有：
亚美尼亚、孟加拉国、不丹、缅甸、柬埔寨、中国、塞浦路斯、丹麦、爱沙尼亚、芬兰、德国、直布罗陀、冰岛、印度、印度尼西亚、意大利、老挝、利比亚、马尔代夫、马耳他、尼泊尔、荷兰、朝鲜、挪威、葡萄牙、爱尔兰、西班牙、斯里兰卡、瑞典、泰国和越南。注:即将前往腐国留学的小伙伴们注意啦：这项政策在2015年5月29日之前，就会实施到中国啦。
