　　一、教学目标

　　1.能听懂、会说新单词dragon boat，Dragon Boat Race，poet，nuts，lunar month，理解单词rice dumpling，delicious，famous，pork，during;

　　2.能听懂、理解、会说本课对话 : Why do we eat rice dumplings during the Dragon Boat Festival?

　　Why did the people throw rice dumplingsinto the river?

　　3.能了解中国传统节日——端午节的有关知识;

　　4.渗透中国传统节日文化的教育，培养学生爱国主义精神，激发学生学习的兴趣。

　　二、教学重点及难点

　　重点：掌握本课新单词;理解并运用本课特殊疑问句问答。

　　难点：复述或表演本课对话。

　　三、教学准备

　　日历、粽子、单词卡片、教学挂图、教学磁带等。

　　四、教学步骤

　　Step l Warming up

　　1.师生问候。

　　2.值日生报告。

　　3.创设情景，引导学生复习形容词的比较级与最高级。

　　4.复述或表演上节的课文。

　　Step2 Presentation and drill

　　1.出示日历，翻到农历五月初五。

　　T: Look! Toady isthe fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Is it the Mid-Autumn Festival?

　　S：No. It's theDragon Boat Festival. (引导学生回答)

　　板书并教学词组lunar month，the Dragon Boat Festival。

　　T: What do we often do during the DragonBoat Festival?

　　S：…

　　鼓励学生大胆回答，帮助学生理解单词during。

　　2.出示一些粽子。

　　板书并帮助学生理解单词rice dumplings。

　　T: Do you like them? I like them verymuch. They are delicious. Their fillings are different. There are pork and nutsin them. Which type do you like better?

　　板书并教学单词nuts，帮助学生理解单词delicious，pork。

　　T: We can eat rice dumplings during theDragon Boat Festival. We can also go tothe river side to watch the Dragon Boat Race.

　　3.听课文B部分录音，跟读。

　　游戏-Brain storm(奇思妙想)

　　教师提供主题(the Dragon Boat Festival)，学生分组说出与之有关的'单词、短语或句子。说得最多且能自圆其说的一组为胜。

　　Step 3 Practice

　　1、让学生们快速阅读课文A部分，回答问题。

　　T: Mingming and his mother are talking onthe Dragon Boat Festival. What are they talking about? Read the text as quicklyas possible and try to answer the following question.

　　Why do we eat rice dumplings during theDragon Boat Festival?

　　2.听课文A部分录音，模仿正确的语音、语调，掌握新词难句的读法。

　　Step 4 Consolidation

　　1.出示教学挂图，学生分组表演课文对话。教师检测部分学生表演情况，注意信息反馈。

　　2.评价。对学生的表现进行评价，给予肯定与鼓励，激发他们说英语的欲望。

　　3.练习。

　　4.家庭作业。

　　查找关于屈原的故事和作品，以及有关端午节的资料。
