评析杰克.伦敦《野性的呼唤》中的自然主义
毕业论文
Abstract
Naturalism, late 19th-and early 20th-century aesthetic movement, was inspired by adaptation of the principles and methods of natural science, especially the Darwinian view of nature to literature and art. Jake London was regarded as one of the greatest naturalist novelists, and he showed his philosophy of naturalism in The Call of the Wild. The creation of Buck’s reflects Darwin’s theory of “the big fish eat up the small, the fittest survive.” In fact, all his writings testify to a deep love and unique understanding of the wildness. This essay will analyse the trend of naturalism in The call of the Wild from theme and writing skill, and find out the reason that lead this trend: the impact naturalism in the age that London lived ; the hardship of his life.
