如何让高考英语作文“短话长说”
要在高考英语作文中得到高分,考生除让自己的文章有“亮点”(即使用复杂多样的句式结构、使用较高级词汇、使用适当的连词)。还要注意在词数上符合规定的要求,而实际上由于写作的题材多样性,有的作文题目所提供的信息只有字数很少的一个纲。所以有很多同学写作时感到无话可说,写出的作文达不到要求的词数,导致作文得分很低。本文就从这一问题着手谈谈让英语作文“短话长说”的方法:一、利用作文模版
各种题材的作文模版资料书上都有,这里仅以对“比观点题型”模版为例:
要求论述两个对立的观点并给出自己的看法。
1)有一些人认为……
2)另一些人认为……
3)我的看法……
The topic of ①_____(主题)is becoming more and more popular recently. There are two sides of opinions about it. Some people say A is their favorite. They hold their view for the reason of ②_____(支持A的理由一)What is more, ③_____(理由二). Moreover, ④ _____(理由三).
While others think that B is a better choice in the following three reasons. Firstly, _____ (支持B的理由一). Secondly (besides),⑥ _____(理由二).Thirdly (finally),⑦_____ (理由三).
From my point of view, I think ⑧_____(我的观点). The reason is that ⑨_____ (原因).As a matter of fact, there are some other reasons to explain my choice. For me, the former is surely a wise choice .
这样,经常利用作文模版训练写作,能让不会写作的同学学会布局谋篇,而且也能达到作文词数的要求。需要同学们在实际写作中经常加以模仿训练,才能收到实效。
二、用附加成分作解释说明
方法就是通过添加与所给信息有关的前因后果及条件时间和目的等内容来增加词数。
例1:这样更方便照顾父母。
拓展原因 :因为父母越来越年迈。
It will be much more convenient to look after your parents,as (because)they are getting older and older.
例2:因广告过多,影片放映晚点。
拓展后果 :这导致观众不耐烦甚至恼火。
There were so many advertisements that they delayed the time of showing the film, which made audience impatient and some of them even annoyed.(或者用making audience impatient and some of them even annoyed)
例3:安全出口(exit)标志不明,存在安全隐患(potential hazard)。
拓展条件 :万一遇到危险, 观众难以逃脱。
The exit is not clear, so there will be potential hazard.In case of danger, it is difficult for the audience to escape.
例4:电视广告破坏了故事的完整性。
拓展结果:从而使观众厌烦且没有耐心。
The whole story are spoiled with repeated advertisements inserted ,making audience bored and impatient .
三、添加谚语(Proverb)
例1:锻炼对学生有好处。
It is good for us students to take exercise.
短话长说:As the saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”It is good for us students to take exercise.
例2:集中注意力于学习。
We should focus our mind on our studies.
短话长说:As the saying goes, “No pains, no gains.”We should focus our mind on our studies...
例3:多吃健康食品,远离垃圾食品。
They should also eat a more balanced diet such as fruits and vegetables, and less fast food and junk food.
短话长说:As the saying goes, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” They should also eat a more balanced diet such as fruits and vegetables, and less fast food and junk food.
四、举例说明
例1:青少年应尽我们所能保护环境拯救地球。
We teenagers should do what we can to protect the environment and save the earth. For example, we can use recyclable bags instead of plastic bags, refuse to use single-use products, plant more trees and save water and energy. 例2:人口密集地区遭受许多自然灾害。
Many populated areas suffer from many natural disasters such as flood, hurricanes, droughts or other disasters.
五、善于运用短语词组
写作时,尤其是在考试时,如果使用短语,有两个好处:其一、用短语会使文章增加亮点,如果老师们看到你的文章太简单,看不到一个短语,必然会看你低一等。相反,如果发现精彩的短语,那么你的文章定会得高分了。其二、关键时刻思维短路,只有凑字数,怎么办?用短语就是一个办法!短语用得好,还会给评卷员留下深刻印象。比如:
例1:I cannot bear it. (普通)
可以用短语表达:I cannot put up with it. (高级)
例2:I want it. (普通)
可以用短语表达:I am looking forward to it. (高级)
例3:I agree with what you said.(普通)
I am in favor of what you said.(高级)
I approve of what you said.(高级)
六、适当发挥想象,补充细节,写出优美的句子
比较下面几个句子:
我们村周围曾是一片树林。
There used to be a forest around our village. (普通)
Our village used to be surrounded by green trees. (普通)
Our village used to be a beautiful place surrounded by green trees,making it the best home for the birds and animals. (高级)
七、结尾提出倡议、号召或具体措施
例1:珍惜每一滴水。
To protect our valuable water resources, we should call on people to cherish every drop of water. Otherwise, maybe the last drops of water will be our tears.
As middle school students, we also have a part to play. Do remember: we are not saving water , we are saving our own life. With everyone doing his bit, we can make a difference. (提出倡议、号召)
例2:呼吁相关部门就电视广告插播太多现象给予解决。
For the sake of the audience ,we hope that relevant departments can take effective measures to limit the number and time of advertisements being broadcast;Meanwhile,Tv stations shouldn’t think of nothing but making money.Instead ,they must allow for audience’s interests . (提出具体措施)
这样字数明显增加,表达也更准确和具体了。
书面表达能力的提高取决于同学们平时的积累和训练。考生平时一定要注重掌握好英语常用词汇和词组句型,同时在写作技巧上多花些功夫,多背诵经典范文和其他同学的优秀习作,加上自己有效扎实的训练,英语作文水平就会不断提高,写作起来就会有话可说,短话长说,写出达到要求词数的好作文。
