　　Pingzhang published 1952 novel "missing person", Lover Allison itself won the position in the literary world of a major African American writer. Allison know what the black community, folk culture, has a classic American literature background vast knowledge, therefore, the creation of this epic works. The novel tells the hard process of an African American to find identity in the ancient society of america. Historically, the core of academic research has focused on the novel attainments of identity. This paper attempts to analysis of profound symbolism means how to work on the topic of representation and deepening, in order to interpret Ellison and the novel provides a new perspective. This paper is divided into six departments. The introduction briefly introduces the research department objectives and significance, research results and future research field. The first chapter is an overview of the "invisible man", visited Allison's life experience, to remind the identity of the creation of the influence of many. The second chapter discusses the actual basic symbolism. Symbolism is one of the main features of the ancient doctrine, its origin, growth and influence the process, the important criterion. Pick up the third chapter focuses on the analysis of the how Ellison will means all kinds of wonderful blend in a way to strengthen the novel's theme.
