Wu yi-chun: a girl who has an interview
Wang: an employer
Ma: Yi-chun’s friend
Wu: Yi-chun’s friend
He: a sissy guy, Yi-chun’s friend

SCENE I
(Ma, Wu, and He are chatting. Yi-chun comes in with a book.)
Ma: Have you seen Yi-chun recently?
Wu: No, she hasn’t called me for days.
He: Hey, look! There she is. Hi, Yi-chun.
Ma: Long time no see, stranger. What have you been doing recently?
Yi-chun: Hi, guys. I've been busy preparing for an interview. I wants to get a job from a company.
Wu: What are you reading?
Yi-chun: A book about what to do at interviews.
He: It's no use reading books about interviews. I know all the tips. I can help you.
Ma: I can help, too.
Wu: Me, too.
Yi-chun: (happy) Really? (accepts their offer) OK. Thank you. But how can you help me?
He: (to Yi-chun) Don't worry. You'll see. (to Ma and Wu) Let's start working, guys.
(Ma and Wu go to get a chair and clothes and come back with them.)
He: Come here. Sit down. (Yi-chun goes over and sits down.)
(He, Ma and Wu start to teach Yi-chun about interviews.)
He: First, what do you think about your hair?
Yi-chun: Not bad. It's always like that.
He: Not bad? You must be kidding. Now I have something for you. You'll like it.
Yi-chun: Oh?
(Ma brings an invisible wig.)
He: (to Yi-chun) See?
Yi-chun: But I don't see anything!
He: Oh, you don't see it? Let me show you. Look. It looks so smooth and feels so silky! It'll always stay the same. You don't have to worry how to maintain it.
Yi-chun: Really?
He: Yeah! Isn't it cool? Try it on! (gives her the wig)
Yi-chun: (puts it on) Yeah, it's so special!! I love it!
He: Now let's talk about your clothes. Has anybody ever criticized the way you dress?
Yi-chun: No. That bad, heng?
He: Don't worry. I can help you. (shows her a white robe)
Yi-chun: Wow! What a great robe! (puts it on)
He: Ha ha ha! I'm the best designer in the world, so the clothes I chose must be the most beautiful in the world! OK. Now you look perfect for your interview.
Yi-chun: Thank you. You're so talented. I'm full of confidence now. I'm ready!
(Ma and Wu start to teach Yi-chun about what to do at the interview.)
Wu: Now let us teach you what to do at the interview. First, you have to knock on the door before you enter the office. Don't go in until the interviewer says "Yes".
Yi-chun: That's easy.
Ma: After you go into the office, you bow about 30 degrees and then tell him your purpose of being there clearly.
Yi-chun: Clearly.

SCENE II
(Wang Yu-hsien is sitting on a chair, practicing swinging a table tennis racket. Yi-chun knocks on the door.)

Wang: Are you Ms. Wu Yi-chun?
Yi-chun: (sneezes) Yes.
Wang: Sit down. (Yi-chun sits down.) How old are you?
Yi-chun: I’m 25 years old.
Wang: Oh. Pretty young.
Wang: Are you married?
Yi-chun: No.
Wang: How many children do you have?
Yi-chun: None, of course! I haven’t gotten married, so I can’t have any children!
Wang: A good thought.
Yi-chun: Excuse me. I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. Do you mind if I eat? (shows Wang some cookies.)
Wang: No, go ahead. When I was young, I used to listen to the radio, waiting for my favorite songs to come on air. At this time, my mother usually gave me this kind of cookies.
Yi-chun: Really? I have another one. I can share it with you.
Wang: Thank you. Where do you come from?
Yi-chun: Taichung.
Wang: Oh, me, too! We come from the same city!
Yi-chun: Yeah!
Wang: Taichung is a good place.
Yi-chun: I can't agree more. I'm proud I'm living in Taichung.
Wang: What do you like to do when you are free?
Yi-chun: I like to play table tennis. I've been playing it for ten years.
Wang: I like table tennis, too! Before you came, I was practicing it.
Yi-chun: Really!
Wang: Would you mind if we practice it together?
Yi-chun: Oh. Of course not. It’s my honor.
(They start to play and it is so fun to them, they can't stop.)
Wang: Oh. I can't even catch the ball. You're really a good player. Could you teach me?
Yi-chun: Sure. First, you should stand steady. Second, lower your body a bit like this. Finally, look at the ball and hit it.
Wang: (does it accordingly) Did I do it right?
Yi-chun: Not bad! Try again. (Wang tries again.) Better!
Wang: Oh, wait a minute. Let me take a break. You got the job.
Yi-chun: Excuse me?
Wang: You got the job!
Yi-chun: (happy) Thank you.
Wang: Would you mind having lunch with me? Let's discuss what you should do on the job at lunch.
Yi-chun: It's my honor, ma'am.
Wang: Let’s go.
SCENE III
Wu: Hey, do you think Yi-chun can get the job?
He: Of course! Through my perfect teaching, I'm 100% sure Yi-chun will get the job!
Ma: Hey, look! There she is!
(Yi-chun seems very happy.)
Yi-chun: Hello, guys. How are you? Why are you all here? Having a meeting?
Ma: We were talking about your interview. How did it go?
Yi-chun: Oh, I got the job! And thank you very very much! You helped me a lot.
He: See? I knew it!
Wu: Can you tell us how the interview went?
Yi-chun: No problem! It…
He: (Iterrupts Yi-chun) Did you wear the clothes I told you to?
Yi-chun: Nope.
He: Did you wear that wig?
Yi-chun: Of course not.
He: (Disappointed) What did you do then?
Yi-chun: Oh, sorry. Don’t be angry! The day before the interview, I watched TV until 2 o’clock, so I overslept and was late for the interview. I didn’t mean it!!
Wu: What?
Yi-chun: Because I didn’t eat breakfast, I asked my boss whether I could eat during the interview. She allowed me to eat and I shared some cookies with her. She liked the cookie and told me a lot of things. And then she asked me to play table tennis with her. Finally, we even went to lunch together.
Wu: How strange the interview was!
Ma: Yeah! Most bizarre!
Yi-chun: Well, what do you think I should do in my new job? Any suggestions?
Wu: Can you wait for a minute? We need to discuss it.
Wu: What do you think?
Ma: I think this employer is a strange woman, so we should forget about the old tricks and teach Yi-chun something different.

Ma: Look at this (shows some kungfu)!!
Wu: Hey, look at me (shows some kungfu)!!
He: Get out of my way. (a deep breath) It should be like this. How about this? (shows some silly gestures)
(The others walk away.)
He: Hey, wai....wait! Wait….
