Paris is the capital of France. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. With its world-famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, and its wide, tree-lined streets, Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
巴黎是法国的首都。这是世界上最为著名的旅游景点之一。拥有埃菲尔铁塔和凯旋门这样驰名于世的地标性建筑，以及绿树成荫的宽阔街道，巴黎不愧是世界上最美丽的城市之一。
If you are taking your children with you, remember that Euro Disney is just an hour away from the centre of Paris, It offers many of the same attractions as the Disney parks in the USA.

If you want to go on to visit Britain, you can now do it without flying or taking a ferry. The Channel Tunnel enables you to travel by train from Paris to London in about three hours.
如果你想去英国，你甚至不用飞行或者搭乘轮渡。从巴黎坐火车穿越英吉利海峡隧道，三小时左右就能抵达伦敦。
The centre of France is a big, agricultural region, growing crops such as wheat and sunflowers, and there are many vineyards. Farmers grow grapes there to make excellent wine. One of the most scenic areas is the Loire Valley, where you can visit the old castles in which the kings and queens of France used to live.
法国中部是大片的农业区，那里种植小麦和向日葵之类的农作物，还有很多葡萄园。卢瓦尔河山谷是风景最美的地方之一，在那里可以游览法国国王和王后曾经居住过的城堡。
France, like China, is famous for its food. In our city, we can see the influence of France in some ways. Some bakeries provide French bread and cakes. Other popular French products are cheese and wine.

France is a leader in art and culture too. A lot of young students from different countries go to France to further their studies. Every year, French film festivals, exhibitions and concerts are organized throughout the world.

文章标题中的call意为“召唤;呼唤”。
2. Now that winter is behind us, many people are starting to think about going abroad for the summer holidays.
由于冬天已经过去，很多人都开始考虑暑假出国旅游的事了。
now that相当于since，用于引导原因状语从句。
注意abroad拼写上与aboard的区别。试比较：go abroad(出国)，go aboard(上车;上船;上飞机)。
3. This gear，why not spread your wings and visit France?
今年，为何不远行去法国看看呢?
why not常常用于提出建议，后直接跟动词原形。如：
--Why not have a barbecue this weekend? 这个周末为何不去烧烤呢?
--That's a good idea. 真是个好主意!
句中的spread your wings意为“展开翅膀”，、是拟物的用法，spread意为“展开”。此外，在6A Unit 9曾学过to spread on the bread，spread意为“抹”。
