We're all a bit naughty sometimes, aren't we?

You should meet this girl. She's called My Naughty Little Sister.

My Naughty Little Sister is the number one expert at getting into trouble and this is a whole book of stories all about her.

She could be at the fun fair, in the garden, fishing or even at the dentist.

But wherever she is, she's usually making mischief, making a mess or causing chaos, usually at the same time.

Now, the thing is, she's not trying to be deliberately bad, she just wants to have a bit of fun.

And we all know how that feels, don't we?

I used to read these stories, almost every night.

It's probably one of my favourite books from when I was younger.

The stories are told by an older sister and I like the funny way they show the new responsibility of having a younger sister, because even though we all love our younger brother and sisters, we all know they can be a real pain sometimes too.

I have two sisters, one twin sister and one 11-year-old sister.

The 11-year-old's quite sensible, quite well-behaved, but I think me and the twin were the naughty ones.

Yeah, we were definitely the naughty ones.

In one of my favourite stories, at a birthday party, My Naughty Little Sister and her best friend, Bad Harry, sneak away from the other children to have a look at a delicious trifle decorated with sweets.

"'Ring-a-ring-a-roses,' sang the good party children.

'Nice jelly sweets,' said My Naughty Little Sister.

'Nice silver balls.' And she looked at that terribly Bad Harry and he looked at her.

'Take one,' said that naughty boy, and My Naughty Little Sister did take one, she took a red jelly sweet from the top of the trifle.

Before long, that trifle was disappearing fast, "because once My Naughty Little Sister and Bad Harry started eating, they found they couldn't stop.

They took a spoon each and scraped off the creamy stuff and ate it and then they began to eat the nice, spongy inside.

Bad Harry said, 'Now we've made the trifle look so untidy, 'no-one else will want any, so we may as well eat it all up.'

So they dug away into the spongy inside of the trifle and found lots of nice fruit bits inside.

It was a very big trifle, but those greedy children ate and ate.

Then, just as they had nearly finished the whole big trifle, the ring-a-rose-ing stopped and Bad Harry's mother called, 'Where are you two? We're ready for tea.'

Then My Naughty Little Sister was very frightened.

I don't blame her. I mean, how's she supposed to explain all that? And how am I going to explain this?!

I still love to read a lot and I think that all started because I was reading a lot of books when I was growing up.

It's great when you find a book like My Naughty Little Sister when you read about a character you actually recognise.

And I'm sure the more you read, you'll find a book about a character who's just like you.

When I was little I used to have a friend just like Bad Harry.

We used to get into all kinds of mischief. And I think that's another reason.

I used to relate to the stories so well.

A lot of the stories are about ordinary days and the kind I remember when you're stuck indoors, or you're not very well, or you're playing in the garden by yourself.

And then, before you know it, you're off having an adventure just like My Naughty Little Sister, and who knows where that'll take you?

Mmm, looks so tasty, doesn't it? I just don't understand what's going on. But I know who'll get the blame for it.

  Aimee? Aimee?

You know, I really need to take some more tips from My Naughty Little Sister!

  I'm Sunali. Hi, I'm Ore.

  We're from... Newsround.

And we've been told to give you some anecdotes from our school days.

Some little stories that, hopefully, will entertain you and maybe even inspire you.

Do you want to go first?

  No.

  不

You go first. That's all right. You go first.

  Age before beauty.

I don't know what to take from that but I will go first, thank you.

OK. Well, my story is that at my school we used to have this music competition and there was a new music teacher that came to the school and he introduced these keyboards.

And we learnt the EastEnders theme tune on the keyboards.

  How did it go? # Der-ner-ner-ner-ner ner-nerrr... #

# Der-ner-ner-ner-ner ner-nerrr... #

But there were only, like, four notes, four chords that we learnt and it was really, really simple, but for some reason, me and my friend Pete and Jimmy, we decided to enter this tune into the music competition.

And there were, like, some people who were actually good at music, like violinists, trumpet players.

And we entered into the group competition. And you. And us.

I was playing on the keyboard. The four chords, and the four notes. Pete was playing the guitar. Jimmy was playing the drums, just the snare drum, the small one, but with pencils. Why not with drum st...

I don't know. I think, maybe, to get the volume down a bit, but playing with pencils.

And somehow, we won. Unbelievably, we won the competition.

  With your pencil drumstick.

Pencil drummers, me on the keyboard, the amateur, and the guitar player.

And the best thing about it was, after the competition had died down, after all the pandemonium and the mayhem and all the fun was had, I asked our teacher, Mr Jones, "Did you like it?" And he was like, "No!"

  But you won.

Whatever, Mr Jones. We won. Don't care.

So, yeah. An unlikely tale, but one that was full of fun.

And will stay with us forever. With me, anyway. What about you?

Tell me about your story. What happened?

Mine's quite a sweet one. I remember making money at break times at primary school by selling one penny sweets for - wait for this - two whole p, to my classmates.

  Whoa! That's like 100% profit.

That is some good profit. I wasn't allowed sweets at home so I thought, "Well, I'm not allowed to not make money from them," so I used to get my dad, who used to drive me into school on his way into work, to stop at the news agent so I could buy my stock in the morning

and at break times I would break them out and make some money.

I can't remember how much money I made, but...

  You really thought about that.

Well, 100% profit. Come to think of it, I should have actually opened a proper tuck shop and made real money, rather than a penny here, a penny there.

Would the school have let you sit in the playground and just be selling?

Probably not. I think a lot of kids might be watching, thinking, how, Sunali, did you manage not to eat the sweets?

Because... Because you were away from home and then, while the mice are away...

I always thought it was better to make money than spoil my teeth.

OK. I was a good business girl.

Well, that's the difference between you and me.

I hope you enjoyed our stories. So do I.

  See you later. Bye-bye.

he Hen and the Little Girl

In a country home, a mother hen and her cute chicks were living happily. A little girl came to visit the country home, but was very bored. One night, the girl went into the chicken house. As soon as she went in, there was disorder.

Here and there cries of the chickens could be heard. The father, who was inside, woke up.

"What's going on? Why are you bothering the chickens?" "Because I'm bored." "You have to sleep now, go inside."

The girl went into the chicken house, again, the next day. There was a racket again, as the chickens were frightened. The moon in the night sky was worried. This time, the little girl's father will not be forgiving.

Finally, the sleeping father woke up. "Why are the chickens crying? By chance" The father was angry and came out to the yard.

"What's wrong with you? Is it okay to bother animals that can't talk? You need to be punished." When the little girl saw her father's angry face, she began to cry.

"It is true that I bothered the chickens, but I was bored yesterday. But today I went in to apologize to the chickens. I was going to hug the chickens."

When the father heard what his daughter said, a smile quickly appeared on his face. "You are truly my daughter." The father praised his daughter. He was proud of his daughter that knew how to apologize. The moon in the sky gave a big laugh, too.
