  测试题1:

  听力原文:

  (Text 1)

W: Flight 331 is being announced.Id better be on my way.

Goodbye. Thanks for all your kind hospitality.

  M: You are welcome.Happy landing.

  (Text 2)

M: There are only 13 chairs for 14 of us.

W: Why not find another, then?

  (Text 3)

W: Are you glad that you came to Washington?

M: Yes, indeed, Id considered going to New York or Boston.

But Ive never regretted my decision.

  (Text 4)

M: How about my food? Ive been sitting here for almost half

  an hour.

W: Im sorry, sir.It must be ready by now.

  (Text 5)

W: I hear there is a good Japanese restaurant nearby.Would

you like to go there for lunch?

M: Yes, it is my treat this time.

  (Text 6)

W: Where did you say you found your schoolbag?

M: It was lying under a tree between the language lab and the

  library building.

W: How do you like this bag?

M: Yah! Its strong and wonderfully designed.

  W: How much is it?

  M: 69 dollars and 50 cents.

W: Ill take one tomorrow.Oh.Its 6:30.I know the station

gives the news every hour on the hour, but I dont know

  when they announce the weather.

M: Ten minutes to and ten minutes after the hour.

  W: I see.

  (Text 7)

M: Excuse me, how can I get to the bank? Bank of America; I

  mean.I dont know the way.

W: Well, go straight ahead till you see a supermarket. The bank

is just at the other side of the street.

M: Is it far from here?

W: Let me see, Er, its 4 blocks away. Not very far, not very

  near.

M: Can I take a bus or something?

W: You may take Bus No.104 or a street car B-201, 4 stops by

bus and 3 stops by street car.

M: But where can I take the street car?

M: Much better, thanks.Shell be back home in a few days.

W: Thats wonderful. When will you be back on your job?

M: I think I need a week to take care of her and do some

  cleaning for her coming home.

W: Why dont you hire someone to do it? In this case, you

  M: No.Why do you ask?

W: You have so many empty cans here.

M: Well, my mum wants me to keep all the cans, so that we can

  sell them after a while.

W: Aha, you are going to make a millionaire of yourself sooner

or later with all those cans.

M: You bet I will.Well, thats not the point. The point is we separate reusable things from other rubbish. We have to pay the dustman for dealing with rubbish, but if we sell him these cans and other reusable material we pay less.

W: That sounds a clever idea. Now what are reused in China?

M: Metal, plastic, paper, books and the like.

W: Just as we do back home in the States.

M: And to avoid waste, the government is limiting the production of goods that can be used only once, such as bamboo chopsticks. For example, all the fast food boxes should be made of paper instead of non-reusable material.

W: That will surely be helpful for a clean environment.

  (Text 10)

I wasnt too fond of the lecture classes of 400 students in my general courses.Halfway through my second term, when I was considering whether or not to come back in the fall, I went on the internet and came across AmeriCorps. Then I joined the organization. And that was what I did last school year.I worked on making roads, building a house, serving as a teachers assistant, and working as a camp officer in several projects in South Carolina and Florida. Its been a great experience. And Ive almost learned more than what I could have in college.Since I didnt really want to be at that school and I wasnt interested in my major anyway, I think this was better for me.After 1,700 hours of service, I received 4,750 dollars.I can use that to pay off the money I borrowed from the banks or for what I need when I go back to school this fall at Columbus State in Ohio.Classes are smaller there, and Ill be majoring in German education. After working with the kids, now I know I want to be a teacher.

Good evening. You are listening to Pop World of BCD International.I’m Susan Welch.Since many people want to listen to and understand pop songs, radio producers at BCD International have made hundreds of programs over the years. The History of Pop or The Road to Music brings you the language of pop music and information about the period and the artists. If you want to hear from the artists themselves, there’s a new series called About the Big Hits. This is based on interviews with popular singers and song writers. They talk to us about the meanings and ideas behind songs.

If you want to understand the words to the big music hits,Pop Words is the program for you. After all it’s hard enough for native English speakers to understand most pop songs. So,if English isn’t your first language, you shouldn’t be surprised if the words to many songs leave you in the dark.

  (Text 10)

Mark Twain,as you know, was famous in his days as a public speaker. In his public speeches,he always liked to tell funny stories and he also liked to play jokes on his friends. One day,one of his friends lost his money and asked him to buy a ticket for him.“I don’t have enough money to pay for your ticket and mine,”Mark Twain said. The friend didn’t know what to do.“We can do this,”Mark Twain said.“We can get on the train and when the conductor comes to check the tickets, you can hide under my seat.”

Later, however, when the conductor came to check the tickets,Mark Twain gave him two tickets—one for himself and the other for his friend. Then he explained in a loud voice.“My friend here is a very strange man. When he travels on the train,he does not like to sit on the seat.He enjoys lying under the seat on the floor.”Of course everyone in the train lookedat the poor friend under the seat and laughed at him loudly.
