　　一、避免两个雷区

　　✖ 主动权拱手相让

　　首先，当你听到“老掉牙”的问题：Tell me something about yourself.(谈谈你自己)的时候，要把主动权牢牢掌握在自己手中。

　　不要偷懒或者耍小聪明反问回去：

　　What do you want to know about me?

　　你想知道些什么呢?

　　那样，会给面试者留下不好的印象，对方很有可能觉得你准备不足。

　　This shows that you haven't properly prepared for the interview.

　　这显得你没有为此次面试做充分准备。

　　✖ 回答过于私人化

　　当面试官让你“谈谈”自己的时候，他们可不是和你随便拉家常，所以回答不要太私人化哦。

　　The interviewer doesn't want to know about your hobbies, your family, or even your favorite TV show.

　　面试官并不想知道你的爱好、家庭或者你最喜欢的电视剧。

　　The biggest mistake that many job candidates make is thinking that the interviewer wants to know about them personally.

　　很多面试者犯的最大的错误就是以为面试官想从私人角度了解你。

　　要知道，面试官那可是阅人无数的“人精”，他们一定是想从你的自我介绍中提取出有价值的信息的，从而判断你是否适合本公司。

　　➤ The interviewer is interested in understanding whether you can do the job.

　　➤ Whether or not you would fit into the team or culture of the organization.

　　➤ What you have accomplished in the past.

　　➤ How you can help their organization.

　　不过，一定要简洁精炼，不要背简历，也不要事无巨细，碎碎念个没完。

　　Keep your statements brief. Your answer to this question should be around two to three minutes.

　　介绍要简洁，回答控制在2-3分钟内。

　　还有，一定要提前做功课，毕竟知己知彼，方能百战不殆。

　　You have to show that you know a lot about the company, the job description and the role you are applying for.
