A business invitation letter is used for inviting guests for an event. The tone of this type of letter should always be positive. The reader should have a pleasurable feeling while going through the letter.

All the details like venue, date and time about the event should be clearly mentioned in the letter. What the event is exactly about has to be specified in the letter. The letter should give the deadline and contact number to reply to RSVP.

Dear Mr. Joseph:

I'm writing this letter on behalf of the students and management of Eastwood School. We would like to invite you as Keynote speaker for the Annual function of our school. It would be a pleasure to have you in our school. The children will learn a lot from the interaction.

As one of the prominent figures in the society, your mere presence will be of great help to the school. Your experience and knowledge will have an impact on the student community. The students will learn new and interesting facts about the stars, planets and other celestial objects. I had attended a presentation that you had conducted for a children's club in Texas few years back. It is common knowledge that you enjoy the company of students and always make a point in attending such events.

The students will be presenting cultural programs, a skit and then there will be prize distribution for meritorious students. The function will be held in the school auditorium at 6.30 p.m. on April 20, 2009. The parents will be part of the function. This will be followed by dinner.

We look forward to your positive reply. Once you accept this invitation, I will personally come with the invitation card of the event to your office.

Yours truly,

Susan Harrison
