XYZ2, Cedar Rapids, Iowa (March 98 - August 99)
- Technical Software Lead Engineer responsible for design, development and testing of all wireless products for satellite and terrestrial communications. Components included:
- Transceiver/Antenna unit, with integrated TCP/IP stack, providing real-time communications over satellite and terrestrial network.
- Software for a custom-built LCD Keyboard Display Unit, providing the user interface.
- Various windows based emulation; configuration and automatic testing tools developed using VC++.
XYZ3, Cedar Rapids, Iowa (May 96 - March 98)
- Designed, coded, tested, and documented software for the Maintenance Diagnostic Computer for Avionics (a level-C box). This was the first-ever C++ embedded product approved by the FAA.
- Developed a Java cross compiler in Java for Rockwell's Proprietary Microprocessor.
- Developed a real time system to manage information from an electronically controlled engine.
- Worked on a variety of other real time embedded systems while at XYZ3.
